The bowls in this set are excellent. They are the perfect size for a serving of ramen. The melamine is thicker than most Asian dishes I've bought before. The bowls look nice and definitely don't look cheap. Chopsticks are good, but it's desirable that they have textured ends to pick up and hold the noodles. It would improve this set (and make it a lot better for ramen). The chopstick stands are a very nice touch. The spoons are actually the worst thing about this set. These are the smallest soup spoons (Asian style) I have ever seen. They're practically useless for slurping up ramen. If I were to buy this set because I need both the spoons and the bowls I would lower the star rating. Luckily I already have a lot of soup spoons. Long story short, buy this ramen bowl set (and maybe those chopstick coasters you always need but never buy), but grab other soup spoons.
