This is actually my second ring light. I had another but my 19 year old granddaughter who like most teenage girls is really into makeup. I'm an amateur jeweler so I love using these lights for jewelry pictures as different light settings can really bring out the beauty of the jewelry. This 18 inch ring of light is great for a variety of things. It's good for photography, photography, makeup, as long as you have an online blog the uses are endless. I really like how easy it is to use. Once you've set up a sturdy tripod, attached the ring and plugged it in, you're good to go. It's really nice that it comes with a holder to connect your mobile phone. I think it also works with lightweight cameras for quick shots. This is a very nice feature as you don't have to worry about stability and you can also have the camera and light at different angles. This ring of light doesn't need different filters to switch from warm to cool light as everything is done with 2 dials on the back. They can vary from very bright to faint and from warm to cool light. It has 448 LEDs. There are ventilation holes on the back panel to keep it from overheating. It appears to be a very solid tripod holding the light and camera at various angles. It comes with a very easy to read instruction manual with pictures and a very nice case for storage and protection.
