Review on ⌚ Rugged Metal Timex Expedition Watch by Sherry Elliott

I am very disappointed in Timex with this watch. I bought it in June 2019 as a gift for my aging father. After almost 6 months of regular wear, the bracelet has fallen apart as you can see in the picture. Also, we tried to replace the battery, which was also dead, but the watch is designed in such a way that the caseback cannot be closed when you open it! Timex customer service told me I can send the watch there as it is still "under warranty" (1 year). However, I would have to pay shipping to send the watch to them and also pay a flat fee of $8 to have them ship it back to me once the repair is complete. Additionally, the strap is NOT covered under warranty and a Timex replacement will cost me an additional $20. If I pay for round-trip shipping and a new strap, I already have more money than the original purchase price of the watch. In its current form, my 85-year-old father only used this watch for half a year, and now it is completely unusable. It's a shame and I won't be buying any more Timex products in the future.
