This was exactly what I expected when looking for a clear case. It's kind of a rubbery feel that makes you feel more comfortable than if your device was caseless. This case is not for a tablet that you carry around in public places or on concrete/asphalt etc (although I haven't tested if it will withstand a drop onto such hard surfaces). I got this case because I KNEW I would probably drop my device at waist or chest height. So it's more of a "better safe than sorry" defense. The biggest surprise in my device is the little stylus that came with it. I didn't read if it came without one and to my surprise I use it more often than I thought.
