If you have back pain, this pillow will make the problem worse. When your upper body is elevated, all of the weight of your upper body is placed on your lower back, and you will notice an increase in pain while you sleep. The first time I fell asleep I didn't think about it, but I woke up in excruciating pain, like I just threw my muscles out. Since the purchase I have tried twice more to use it with a different support pillow and a back heater but nothing can help. I will note that as much as it hurt me, I slept soundly without waking my partner every time I used it. 2/5 stars
