I have a 4 month old baby and was hoping to use him as a teat. They are great for teething, they pass the silicone test. But they suck poorly on smooth (or other) surfaces, which was the main reason I bought them. When wet, they stick to something for a hot minute, but the child can tear it off and throw it away immediately. So I attached a rope to it which makes my 4 month old baby uncomfortable holding the mushroom. But as a tether they are good, my kid loves them. She just can't put it to her mouth yet. I'm bringing it back as we have a lot of teethers and I'm going to get something that actually sticks to the high chair tray for her to play with.
