They're great for sauces like sweet and sour, for dipping spring rolls, ketchup for dipping chips, etc. They're not big, but they're unbreakable, so they're especially handy for eating on deck. It would be nice if they had a picture of the bowls alongside something to help understand ounces versus size, but it's still a good deal for bowls that we use a lot even if they can't do it as expected can be used for muesli or soup.
