Great replacement. I bought two replacement units, one for the dining area and one with a fan for the bathroom. This product is much thicker and more rigid than the original thin nameless skylight. I bought two units, one for the dining room and one for the bathroom. Easy installation for canteen: (1) Remove the screen, two screws; (2) remove handle, one screw; (3) remove the outer frame, four screws; (4) Remove the crank mechanism and remove the two screws from the old skylight. From the roof, push the old skylight aside to remove it from the van. Install in reverse order. A skylight with a fan was more difficult because the actuator was mounted on the opposite side. This was solved by drilling out the two rivets holding the new skylight's slotted rail and repositioning them on the opposite side of the plastic rib and fitting the rail flange up rather than down. Two small self-tapping screws replaced the rivets. Two 1/8" rivets would also work. I recommend this product.
