Im impressed with these little glasses, they are stronger than I expected. I wanted those 4 ounces. and 8oz. Tin cans while canoeing and hiking and because I'm tired of throwing away plastic bags at the end of every tour. I still carry a few with me for the trash, but these glasses should reduce that. I bought 24 of these jars for about the price of 6 boxes of ziplock bags and I should be able to use each jar for at least a season. . I'll update next fall after using them so you know how they did it. I plan to take dry foods like oatmeal, rice, soup powder, etc. with me. If I want to carry liquids I would buy some flat rubber washers/O-rings and see if they work to seal those banks. Finally, until I have a chance to test some of these cans in the field, I'm leaving my 5 star rating because I'm happy with the cans so far. Oh yes, before I forget. 12 of these cans weigh 11.05 ounces or 313 grams. Not really that heavy and I love the weight of the extra money in my pocket for not buying all those zippered bags.
