Better than a cortisone shot
Ideal. I have small hands and wrists. I finally found a brace that holds everything together and stabilizes my thumb and wrist. I experienced a cortisone injection and within a week, maybe 10 days after the injection, my arm was in excruciating pain. The inflammation just seemed to be moving outward from the inside of my cord. My routine now is to ice the area, take 500mg of naproxen once or twice a week and wear a brace. I have been pain free for several weeks and can often go days without a brace without having to wear one.
