The ceramic strap on this watch is beautiful and must be seen in person to be appreciated. Ceramic has a pearly sheen that looks quite expensive. My wife immediately fell in love with the unique materials and design, and her Apple Watch quickly went into her pocket (for step tracking) so she could display it for all to see. I know they are usually only worn on special occasions, but this watch is definitely worth wearing for those moments. The dial is subtle but beautiful. The crystal dial is transparent. In my experience, Movado watch faces hold up to reasonable abuse. I expect the same from this. The worst part was the strap adjustment. I have a toolkit for adjusting watch bands and I still find this exercise crazy. Each metal pin has three components that need to be stacked on top of each other (the base is a metal pin like any other clock, then a sleeve is placed on top, and then a second sleeve is placed on top). I spent at least an hour removing the links so I could fit this on my wife's wrist. Once I got the hang of it, I got a lot faster, but at first I didn't realize that there were three pieces of metal for each limb and some of them were thrown to the ground. When customizing, be prepared! Once the right size is reached, the clasp holds with good strength and I doubt it will fall off. All in all a great watch for special occasions and something different than the usual leather and metal band materials.
