I use a couple of these as bedside tables. You are fine as long as you understand that you are buying a set of furniture made in China and not a $300-500 unit at a high end furniture store. As with most things in life, you get what you pay for. They have what could be described as a somewhat "problematic" look, which some people would probably see as a pro and others as a con. -collected. You simply attach the 4 legs and the plate. As other reviews have noted, they wobbled a bit (most "complete" furniture wobbles), which I was able to fix by simply tearing off the small piece of cardboard it came in and placing it under the defiant leg . It also helps if you don't fully tighten all the screws until everything is in place (but again, this applies to most furniture sets). Getting to some of the screws was a little awkward, but not impossible. I've read other reviews that mentioned the small box and I was still a little surprised by this one. I would almost use the word "compartment" instead of "box". It's only four inches wide, three inches deep, and about 10 inches long. For some reason they intentionally made the box much smaller than it could have been. There is a lot of free space inside the block.
