Review on LensCoat Camo Neoprene Lens Protection Cover for Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 IS (Real Tree Max5) by Gabriel Tomato

Good idea, bad installation.

LensCoat Lens Cap for Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 IS Zoom Lens - Forest Green Woodland Camo LensCoat doesn't suit me at all. I bought a lens cap and hoodie for my Canon 70-200mm lens. First, it's overpriced (expected something better for the price). Second, it doesn't work very well: it's very tight, it has to be stretched to put it on, but even then it will fall, tip over, shift, and I know I'll eventually lose the front neoprene ring. Third, there is an additional neoprene adhesive strip that attaches to the tripod ring. Well it didn't work from day one because the size wasn't right (so I had to cut it off) and the glue only lasted a day because the tip started to come off so I had to remove it. And finally, the sweatshirt is too tight and difficult to put on (requires two hands). but it still crashes! While the idea is good and looks good in the pictures, it didn't work very well for me. Therefore, at least with the Canon 70-200IS f/2.8 lens, I do not recommend using a lens coating.
