Review on 🤱 Holy Lamb Organics Wool and Cotton Nursing Pillow: Ultimate Comfort and Support for Nursing Moms by Carrie Williams

Healthy, environmentally friendly materials, but sheds and requires an expensive cover

I have doubts about this pillow. On the one hand as natural and material-friendly as possible. I love that it's organic wool and cotton. The shape is great. I've used it a lot while breastfeeding my newborn and now that she's grown a bit I support her and she loves it. However, the pillow is shedding wool threads like crazy and it is driving me insane! I will find them everywhere - on my clothes, on a child's hands, even in my mouth! I cover him with a muslin swaddle blanket to avoid this. There's a case you can buy, but it costs $50. I think at this price a lid should be included. Coverage is essential. No matter how careful you are, with a child you will undoubtedly encounter saliva and leakage on the pillow. I didn't buy a cover because I'm not sure if it will solve the shedding problem and because I don't want to invest in a nursing pillow anymore at the moment. I can't justify paying $170 for a nursing pillow, even if it's made from organic cotton and wool. That doesn't seem sensible. Another way to save money on this product might be to make your own case if you have the sewing skills. However, there aren't many options for safe breastfeeding pillows and I didn't want to compromise on my baby's health. I also believe that every purchase is an opportunity for the consumer to vote and I refuse to buy unsafe items. It will support the production of such products when we need to move towards healthier and greener products. So I don't entirely regret the purchase and would probably buy it anyway as there are no better options in my opinion. The other two options I considered were the Organic Caboose Pillow (didn't like the shape) and the Nest Pillow (I've heard buckwheat breaks pretty easily). Don't be fooled by the "organic" versions of My Brest Friend and Boppy. Original case only.
