I have worked as a professional slide preparator for the pathology department of several hospitals for decades and purchased an Amscope set of 48 prepared slides, expecting that my grandson would share my delight. in exploring the microscopic world. Unfortunately, I would have to rate these funds as unsatisfactory or insufficient. I was very disappointed with the prepared slides I received from Amscope. I don't mind that the slides are smaller than standard size, or that they are made of plastic instead of glass, or that the slides are tiny. What I have a problem with is that they were cut too thick or not at all and the sections were bent or sloppily assembled so in most cases only black silhouettes and not well colored translucent sections were seen. where microscopic details could be seen. Amscope has a good reputation for other products and I hope they make an effort to improve the quality of the finished slides in the future. I would recommend the Amscope PS25 Ready Slide Set as a much better buy than the 48 piece set.
