As well as serving passively as a simple iPad sleeve (a role even a towel can perform), this sleeve also doubles as a stand/shelf. He fails spectacularly at this job. When you fold the cover to use it as a stand, the slightest jolt or jolt (e.g. touching the screen with your finger) will cause the cover to collapse and the iPad to fall. Please note that you do not keep any drinks near this thing. When it folds, it's like it's spring loaded. The case can also be used as a support so the iPad can be used from a low angle. Unfortunately, the housing does not fit here. Its inability to hold itself folded means you have to keep tucking it in to keep it in place, which isn't conducive to smooth reading. If you need to buy this case, please also buy a plastic bag for chips so that you can prevent the case from falling during use. I do not recommend this case.
