It looks beautiful until you open it.
This was supposed to be a present for my granddaughter. When you take it out of the box it is really beautiful and very heavy. It is expertly carved BUT when you open the lid and look inside it is not fully covered in velvet as you might expect. Instead, it's a plastic insert that has a terrible chemical smell. Looks very cheap on the inside, but very classy on the outside. I was very disappointed. I bought another version of the same item with enamel which was again nice on the outside but smelly and cheap on the inside. I can't give it away and I won't keep it for myself because of the smell.
