This is my first epilator so I didn't know what to expect. I first tried it on fine hairs on my stomach and it didn't hurt as much as I thought it would, but it did take several passes to remove a small area. I then tried it on the hair around the nipples, which was also very thin and weak. I usually pull these hairs out with tweezers, so the level of "soreness" was the same, but it took so long to remove most of them that I might as well stick with my tweezers. the hair is coarse and thick, but it also requires going through the same spot multiple times. I've used other depilatory methods like silk thread and wax and I think it's on the same level of discomfort. I wouldn't call it a pain, it just takes some getting used to. Edit: The wireless functions stopped working after two weeks, you have to leave it plugged in the whole time which causes it to overheat. The blades became dull after two months. I've followed every advice I could find online and it never flattened my legs, it kept breaking hairs instead of pulling them out, and it never pulled out all the hairs even after spending a few minutes in the same spot would have. I do not recommend this product.
