This light strip is really easy to set up. There are many options to choose from as to what color of light you would like and they are all very beautiful. You can even create your own color mix and save it as a DIY color option with up to six colors. Of course there are also many variations of light patterns, but all I know is that they work well as a fixed light because all the flashing/blinking/fading of the light makes me dizzy, so I avoid them. And finally, you can also choose the brightness of the light. We live in an old house that never had wires for overhead lights in our living room, although they do in the rest of the house. Strange. Anyway, instead of always using floor lamps, I thought it would be nice to place them along the ceiling for softer general lighting. And by selecting different colors or light variations, the mood in the room can be easily determined. I chose this kit because it advertises "strong tape" and says it can be used on "rough and uneven surfaces". Because my walls are painted, they have an uneven surface, like painting with a paint roller. It's small but still there. The adhesive on this light strip is a strip of 3M foam that holds it in place very well. During the day, the streak of light isn't very noticeable on my cream-colored walls (see photo 1). When it gets dark and I turn on these lamps, I'm amazed at how well they light up my living room (see photo 2). This is just a set of bulbs. I bought a second set for another wall but we haven't installed it yet. I'm excited to see how bright it will be on any wall with the set!
