Review on Weighted Blanket Queen King Kids by Michelle Godinez

So I spent months looking for weighted blankets before I bought this one. This one was definitely at the top of my pick list. What really drew me in was that the blanket came with a cover. I argued for a long time whether the cover would really matter. It does! The cover is like a pillowcase to keep it clean and the Minky is super soft. I really like the Minky case because it's very comfortable and I love the teal color I got! I was surprised how much I liked the texture on the cover! I received a 48x72 15 lbs charcoal gray duvet with a teal aqua finish. I'm about 180 pounds, 5ft 6in and this blanket is about the right size. I wouldn't mind if it was a little longer to cover my legs as I like to pull it over my shoulders. The weight is amazing! I wondered if a weighted blanket would help me sleep better. I am an older college student and have a lot of anxiety and racing thoughts at night. This duvet actually makes me happier, calmer and sleep better. The heaviness of the blanket mimics a hug, and the hug actually releases oxytocin in your body, creating a connection or happiness effect, much like serotonin. I love hugs and I love being covered in a million blankets. I love being wrapped in a blanket, this is for you! Using my duvet on the couch makes me feel more relaxed and comfortable than I usually do with a regular duvet. I also use my blanket when I go to bed. helps me calm down, focuses my running thoughts and puts me to sleep. It was about 70 degrees Fahrenheit here where I live and I'm not hot for him at all. In fact, my bedroom is cold at night, so when I'm cold, I put a blanket over the weighted blanket. I really like this duvet and to be honest it was one of the few things that helped improve my sleep. This is an amazing product and I am honestly amazed!
