Use for bedroom. Having to simply touch the base of the lamp to turn it on and off and switch between brightness modes was surprisingly helpful - something I've never had before. There's no switch to fumble for in the dark. Different levels of brightness in the bedroom are very helpful in order not to wake up yourself or others with bright light. The lamp looks very nice, head and shoulders above other table lamps, but not much larger than many of them, some look like they belong in a college dorm room - they don't. The lamp head is adjustable up and down. I've never had a lamp with a USB port. There I connect the phone with a short cable.
