I bought these battery candles for timer functions. I have bought these before and have been very satisfied. However, they only remain activated after you have activated them. Timers don't work. The instructions say you put the batteries in, flip the switch on the bottom of the candle to turn it on at the time you want, and they'll burn for 5 hours, turning off automatically and turning on again at the same time next time. day etc. 5 hours on 19 hours off They stay on all the time until you turn them off manually. But they are bright. Just not what I wanted when I bought them.
