I bought this ottoman because it was the same size as an old ottoman I've owned for years. My cat sits on the old one next to my desk while I work and as I have a kitten I bought a second ottoman so they can sit together. Basically it works. The fabric on this new ottoman looks almost like a cover on a box and my cats destroyed a corner of it. It was inevitable, but they made it in about a week while the old ottoman stood for years. This new specimen's fabric just gets a little more stuck in her claws, making it pull harder when she scratches. Bad kittens, I know, but I didn't expect this ottoman to be so easy to grab. The structure itself seems good. Nice that it can be folded up if needed. This gives the stool a lighter/cheaper look, but when I added a few storage items that all changed. The lid comes off very easily and I really like how the edges of the lid cascade down around the top of the stool. Storage compartment to keep it from slipping off.
