Easy installation: yes. It couldn't be much easier. I installed mine on a metal door, which I don't think the manufacturer would recommend, but it's really the only place I could install it. Adhesion: Surprisingly good. I had my doubts. But it's been at the door for 3 weeks with no problems. Volume Control: Here is the first issue, the volume is NOT the same on the two ringer devices. One block is much louder than the other. The biggest problem is, unless you have a 1000ft one bedroom house, the range in blocks is NOT 1000ft. In my house, the block is installed on the door. The signal bounces off the opposite wall into the living room and then back into the dining room. After these two reflections, I have to think again in the corridor and then in another corridor. It is not! So the effective range I get is maybe 50 feet. Luckily I can still hear it from my bedroom. Conclusion: If you are going to buy this device. DO NOT buy a two unit combo as you are unlikely to get a range that justifies using two units. Save an additional $10. Also, I wouldn't believe I could get the signal across two rooms. If you don't have a lot of people ringing your doorbell, then this $15 solution (DO NOT BUY two packs) is better than calling an electrician to find out why your doorbell isn't working. But if you have people ringing your doorbell every day, get a real ("old school") doorbell. Also, the doorbell itself, which you attach to the door, is shockingly small. If you're playing dominoes, it's almost exactly the same size!
