When I first received the bed it had a strong chemical smell which my dogs didn't like. I aired for three days before the smell went away. This bed reminds me of a bean bag chair. It's really convenient. This is a good floor pillow. The bed was cubic when it arrived. It was too big for my dogs and they didn't like the shape. I sat/lay on the bed for about 15 minutes to round it out and straighten it to a suitable height for my dogs. This bed looks like a king bed for my litter, but it's like a twin for my beagle mix. I regret not having bought the next size up. Measure your dog from nose to tail to determine which size is best for your dog. I suspected, based on my dog's weight, that this wasn't an accurate method of determining if a bed was big enough.
