Review on ๐Ÿšฝ Valterra SS01 RV SewerSolution Drainage Kit + 10' Hose & Accessories by Mark Dahmer

The Valterra SS01 Sewer Solution Kit was the perfect solution to my confusing problem - check out my video!

Watch my product demo video. Summary: My trailer is parked semi-permanently about 90 feet from my septic tank. First it goes uphill, then it goes gently and easily downhill. I've tried draining the black and gray water tanks with a standard RV drain hose and it was almost impossible. It's like trying to force-feed an unruly boa. I considered different options. A $200 RV electric shredder pump (like the Flojet 18555-000A) could probably pump uphill better, but the idea of using both electricity and water seemed dangerous to me, and every time there was one Problem with connecting and disconnecting piping and electrical components. I had to empty the tanks. There was also a variant of a 120V updraft domestic toilet macerator pump (e.g. Saniflo 002 SANIPLUS macerator pump, white) that seems like the perfect solution, minus the $800+ price tag. Valterra SS01 to try. And it meets all my expectations at an affordable price. I ran about 80 feet of 1" PVC pipe to my septic tank. I used a hole saw to drill a hole in the septic tank lid and using a 90 degree elbow I created a 1" bead of PVC, so the sewage would run straight into the T-junction just above the domestic sewage. This extra drip helps create the siphon effect and can make a huge difference in the efficiency and effectiveness of this system.I have the Sewer Solution on my RV and attached the drain hose from the Sewer Solution kit directly to the inlet end of my 1". PVC tubing with female fitting. . On the video you can see that this system works perfectly. I use a sewage solution to dump the contents of the black water down the drain and then with the gray water. Because the sewer installs the siphon, I can turn off the water and the siphon drains the gray water with no problem.
