These shears are designed for medium-duty metal cutting, but with stainless steel and a spring-loaded blade opening, they've been repurposed as poultry shears. After two months of use after washing in the dishwasher, everything is fine. It does not rust and the plastic handles are still intact. It slices the bird and the blades cut the meat cleanly. So far, unlike some other poultry shears, the blades have remained sharp and free of jamming. Mainly used for cooking chicken. this should take a while. Scissors cannot be disassembled for cleaning. There is a clasp that keeps the scissors closed for storage.
