Review on 🌿 EWG Green Calming Cicarelief Toner - Real Barrier Facial Centella Asiatica Moisturizer, 6.42 Fl Oz (190ml), Sensitive Skin by Pamela Jefferies

Reef Barrier Cicarelief is a tonic for dry, sensitive skin. This is my skin type, plus all the ingredients in this toner have a low health risk rating from the EWG. But this toner makes my skin and nose itchy like crazy, and my skin burns too. I tried this tonic 4 times after cleansing and each time I had the same reaction. I need to gently cleanse again and reapply soothing face creams and oils to quell the itching. Although citric acid is a known skin irritant, it is not listed as an ingredient and is listed in many products that I use without issue. Centella asiatica extract seems to be the likely cause of the itching and burning sensation since it's the main ingredient, and the NIH study states that while rare, it can cause "local allergic reactions and burning sensations." I can't keep using it but the ingredients seem good and centella asiatica extract has many potential benefits like moisturizing, skin barrier repair, treating skin conditions, treating inflammation and so on. I have a lot of allergies so I'm probably not the norm. This tonic seems good but not for me. 3.5 stars.
