I'm a photographer and I like to hunt spiders at night for macro and close-up shots. When I saw this headlamp I thought it was suitable as it wraps around the forehead and gives off a very bright light from a wide angle. My old headlamp didn't work so well because my camera was blocking the light. I was right and am very glad I found it. As you can see from the photos there is enough light to photograph the spiders in the middle of the night. As I walk, the light covers my entire vision from side to side. I had it for about a week and I charged it when it arrived but I didn't have to recharge it even though I used it every night. I didn't use much side light, although it's about as powerful as Cree light. The power switch sets the main light from high to low and does the same for the parking light. The sensor can be turned on and off, allowing you to control the light with a swipe of your hand. It's worth the price and works great for my purposes. I will use it for camping and hiking once this extreme heat is over :)
