Ordered product THEN read some negative reviews. I'm using it for coffee right now and it doesn't leak. However, I have to say that I understand why it might leak. There are a few things that may not be obvious. Firstly, the material of the cup is very flexible and is a compromise in terms of portability and resistance to breakage. It doesn't have vertical strength like a paper cup with a lid. So when you press it, you turn it into a bottle. with liquid 130 degrees. Second, the top MUST be screwed on tightly to prevent leakage as the top and bottom plastic caps squeeze the rim of the silicone cup between them like a gasket. If it's not tight enough, it will leak because the coffee has to go through that "gasket" to get to the rim. Or you can use a straw. Third. and that's another compromise. You MUST hold the cup by the ring, because when you're not using the ring, you're depressing the soft, flexible wall of the cup, and unfortunately this changes the shape of the "cushion" formed by the rim of the cup. Silicone cup and sandwiched between the top plastic lid and the bottom plastic lid. If the shape of the "seal" is changed, a leak will appear. So in summary: 1. Screw the lid on, 2. Hold the cup by the ring, not the silicone, and 3. Use a straw and try not to tip the cup too much, and 4. Crush the cup NEVER hot water. coffee into it or turn it into a hot coffee geyser. Otherwise 5 stars. ;)
