I got the Track Light version and I liked it - everything I wanted and more. It has an almost identical design, but the packaging isn't as pretty. Installing it into an existing ceiling light was easy. It can be rotated vertically and horizontally, making it easy to aim the light exactly where it's intended. For myself, I aimed for the base of the stairs in the dark hallway leading to the basement. It puts out a lot of light and is definitely brighter than the light it replaces without being harsh or glaring. I think it would be nice to make the wall lamp shine too. The only thing I really find fault with is the way the light is packaged. The matching tracklight was safely and securely packed in the box. Throwing a piece of cardboard to hold it in place was almost an afterthought this time. As a result, my first light arrived with a broken glass dome and the second with a bent frame. None of the boxes were damaged in transit - it was just a poorly designed box for sale. If you decide to use this flashlight - and the flashlight itself is no reason not to - make sure you have time to return or exchange it. in case it arrives damaged.
