If you're looking for a sealed oil reservoir, look elsewhere. The lid of this buttercream sits loosely on the rim of the plate and there is a visible gap between them. It moves easily in all directions and doesn't have a silicone ring around the lid to secure it. It's my own fault for buying it without knowing this information, but it's too late. The only thing I like about it is that it's made of porcelain and has a huge handle to lift the lid. It also only holds two packs of butter. For some reason I figured it was a "big" container that would fit four people. My problem again. I will look elsewhere for a non-plastic sealed oil pan.
