For the price it's great. It's mostly plastic, but unless you're using a very heavy camera and accessories I don't see that as a problem. The grips on the front tend to move back and forth, but as long as you're not pointing the camera straight down, it's not that big of a deal. The matte box is actually quite nice, it's amazing to get metal flags in a set for less than $200. I'm not a fan of "monk's panties" that connect the matte box to the lens. It's really stiff and difficult to keep from getting in front of the lens, and it's too long so it tends to cover too much of the lens, making it difficult to focus. This is particularly problematic with Nikon's short "pancake" prime lenses, where the focus ring is placed at the very front of the lens. can afford.
