Review on 🌟 Himalayan Glow 1004 Hand Carved Natural Himalayan Salt Lamp, 15-20 lbs, Orange/Amber - Improve Visibility and SEO by Todd Stone

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Four stars not five because a more powerful bulb is needed

This is a very nice piece of salt. Dark orange and pink with a beautiful shine. It is big! The weight is as stated. I wish it was a little taller but it's still very pretty. The lamp base/light fixture appears to be well made and fits nicely in the wooden base with the salt. My only complaint is that the included lamp is too small to effectively heat such a thick block of salt. I'm going out later today to get a higher wattage that throws away more heat. Heat is important if you really want the salt to give off negative ions (because negative ions are formed as moisture evaporates), and with the seller's included lightbulb, I'd have to leave that lightbulb on 24/7 to ensure it would gets warm enough. and stayed warm enough to wipe out the good negative ions. I don't think this bulb is rated at 25 watts and can achieve at least that without exceeding the cord's specs. The salt block is so thick and heavy that it took me over an hour to get warm enough to feel it. I left it on overnight and only then did it get warm enough to effectively vaporize. This lamp was obviously returned and reshipped to me, but arrived well packaged and in good condition with proper documentation, and again very beautiful. I have no idea why it was returned, other than maybe a defective base. Certainly not for looks. As long as the base holds up, I'm very happy with it. I recommend the lamp and the seller. Four stars instead of five just because the pear is too small to effectively heat a large block of salt. It would be ideal if I could save myself the trip to the store to get a new bulb.

Pros

Cons
  • Slightly torn
