Before installing the printer, you must enter a credit card number.

What I don't need, how about Printer, the minute you insert ink cartridges into the printer, HP knows your computer is operational and you are connected to its HP INSTANT INK program. The program is "Free” for the first 90 DAYS and unless you CANCEL within this period you will be billed monthly. The only way to avoid this is to google "how to disable hp instant ink" and follow the instructions. However, when HP sets up an automatic update, HP goes in and re-enables the HP Instant Ink program, and then you have to go back and disable it again. The HP Instant Ink program was designed to allow HP to sell its ink to you. The printer senses when it needs ink, notifies HP, and HP ships the ink to you before you leave home. I personally prefer to buy my own ink when I need it.
