At 29" bust and 50lbs my dog should fit the large size of this vest - admittedly not much room for manoeuvre. In fact the vest was too small for her to be comfortable. When the chest straps are fully open they only hold together by squeezing her breasts together. Otherwise this vest feels very well made and sturdy. I recommend this vest but only if your dog's size is smaller than the maximum size given in the table.
