I bought these to line the patio roof of our lake house for some casual outdoor lighting. I've read about liability issues. So it didn't bother me. I mounted mine with a hot glue gun. (Be extra careful not to melt the plastic coating. I put glue on the wood paneling so it wouldn't get on the plastic as much. I applied it in 3-4 foot increments at a time.) They work great. ! The remote is a bit slow to respond (on both sets I bought) but it has many color options. Maybe they just need new batteries. The blinking option to sync the light with the music is just too much. (I feel like I'm in a disco and about to have an epileptic fit. So I let them fade slowly or just one color. Love the fact that you can adjust the brightness. Also, I'm SUPER happy it took exactly 3 strips to cover my 9' x 15' porch! PS. (That's 1 1/2 packs.)
