Wow. I saw this type of eyelash curler in a YouTube makeup video. I put it on the back of my head to buy for the upcoming trip. I've never taken an eyelash curler because there just isn't room for it! I received this new design yesterday and tried it this morning. It's much easier to use than a regular hair curler. I went slowly because the feeling is different and I didn't want to pinch the lid. It worked better than the old one and it took me less time to curl my lashes. I pressed for about 5 seconds. The old hair curler is metal, measures 4 x 2 1/4 inches at the handle and is awkwardly shaped. This new one is made of lightweight plastic, is rectangular in shape and measures approximately 2 1/4 inches by 1 1/4 inches. It comes with an extra rubber insert. It fits snugly in my travel makeup bag. I don't know how it will hold up but I will update if there are any problems. I hope they continue to make this lash perm as it is far superior to the one we have all known for 50 years!
