They fit a variety of standard US toddler shoe sizes so I would recommend going one size down. Since ours were non-strap flip-flops, I was trying to find the exact shoe size for toddlers. However, my daughter did not complain about wearing slippers. Her school has a water day every Friday so I can confirm the durability as they are literally thrown in the (front load) washing machine along with her wet bathing suit and towel and then washed weekly on the regular dye cycle. Some weeks more than others when we swim. After brutal kidwear, washing and just air drying (but after a trip in the dryer they did great lol). These shoes still look as great as day one. I would highly recommend them for their comfort, durability/quality and reasonable price.
