So I had a choice: buy a new one at full price or buy a "new but used" for about $20 Discount. It said "crate damaged" which I think meant the packaging, but it actually meant a real box on a tree. The hole the screw was supposed to go through was completely broken so the screw couldn't be fastened, but luckily I had enough tools in my toolbox to fix it. I can say that the assembly wasn't bad as there were no instructions with the kit and I was just guessing from the picture. There was also a piece I had to hammer in with some nails to hold it together. One mouse was missing, the other was totally spoiled, so I hung up new toys. What to expect when you order used but new not brand new. It's been badly damaged, so give that some thought if you ever decide to go that route. The rest of the rug is soft and beautiful. The seating areas are a bit smaller than I thought. My cat is almost a year old but she is already too big to lie in it. However, it is nice and big, robust and cuts a fine figure in the living room. The cat still needs to get used to it, but it will be something nice and big to climb and sit on. Ideal for indoor cats that need something to climb and scratch.
