My mobile phone is big. I don't want to carry it around with me all the time, especially if I just want to listen to music. That's why I asked for it. I was concerned that the sound quality would not live up to my expectations, as I've always been special in this high-demanding field. And at a price of 20 dollars, of course I had my doubts. I can safely say that this method has exceeded my expectations. It is very good! Can't say it's technically "Hi-Fi" sound, but for $20? Sounds great as it is very light and compact. It's about the same size as the old iPods, just a little thinner and a little lighter. Transferring music is straightforward but can take several minutes depending on movement. Moving files from your player to your computer is faster than moving files from your computer to your music player. Although it doesn't bother. I love that it has a standard headphone jack for all my headphones, in-ears, in-ears. The battery life is great too. The user interface, while looking a bit dated, is straight forward. I think one of the reviews said there is no way to tune the bass, but there is. There are equalizer presets, but you can also adjust the bands. Just press the top button labeled "M", use the arrow key and go to "Sound Settings" and under "Equalizer" you will see "Custom". From there you can adjust bass, low-mid, mid, high-mid, and treble. The screen is good too. It's small but definitely usable. I haven't been able to test it with any of my video files, but judging by the test video file that comes with it, it's pretty good, especially considering the price of this device. The FM radio works and works quite well. This is definitely a plus. All in all, if you're looking for a cheap, no-frills music player that's compact, lightweight and offers great sound, I heartily recommend this player. For $20 this is a great value. 5/5
