Review on πŸ‘€ Anco 31-16 31-Series Wiper Blade - 16", (Pack of 1) - Durable and Efficient Replacement Wiper Blade for Optimal Visibility by Homer Reed

Revainrating 1 out of 5

A regular wiper blade but not compatible with my 2015 Chevrolet Equinox rear wiper blade assembly.

As you can see in the attached picture (the wiper blade under the box is new, the bottom one which is clearly worn is old), the blade length is correct but the bottom bracket assembly is slightly different. I only noticed this after installing it on my car and trying to put the cover on. The compressed distance from the J-hook to the glass surface is too small/narrow for the blade not to press against the glass to make contact. When you put a wiper cover (on the tailgate of a car) it doesn't even touch the glass, and the plastic cover barely touches the glass at the end of the arm. If you find that the old blade has more "feather" and the feather blades have more arc. I think Anco UR-131 would be the right part for this, not Anco 31-13. However, I got this to work by removing the rubber insert from the new blade and installing it into the old assembly. The new blade also didn't seem to snag on the J-hook as expected, which was the first sign I might be in trouble. I am very disappointed that I have to pay full price for a blade and then throw away half. Live and learn, I don't feel like dealing with the return process but wanted to warn others as well. Let's hope it holds up well - time will tell!
