So I bought these boots a size up for my daughter to give her time to grow up in (justifies my money). I checked the seams and everything was fine. I was a little skeptical as to how warm they would keep your feet warm, especially in Minnesota as winter approaches. Before the first snowfall I asked her to try them on and she said her feet were "hot" which was fine with me. We had our first snowfall at about 36 degrees, so I thought it would be great to walk to the store, which was two blocks away. Again she said her feet were hot but felt good and they didn't hurt either which is great for insoles. We played in the snow for about 25 minutes and no complaints, and waterproof shoes really come in handy once you get back inside. . I was wearing my waterproof hiking boots and I could definitely tell the difference (still waiting for my winter boots in the mail). I would definitely recommend buying a pair for your kids or as a gift.
