2 bad bottles from 2 different sellers - rotten rose water!

First of all I would like to say that I have been using this rose water for a number of years and have never had any problems with it. I usually buy this product from The Vitamin Shop but decided to order this bottle from Revain while packing for a trip (convenience). As soon as I applied it to my face, I had the feeling that it didn't have the usual refreshing fresh smell. Roses, but smelled strongly of dead/rotten flowers. Disappointed and thinking that I had received an imitation and not a genuine product from Alteya, I went to the vitamin store as usual and bought another bottle (same size 17 fl oz and same brand). When I bought this product from them I came across a few reviews that mentioned exactly this but decided to take a chance as most of the reviews were still great so I was very disappointed to be one of the few buyers who got a rotten product. Unfortunately, my bottle from the vitamin store smelled just like rotten roses. When I got home I checked the numbers of both batches on the bottom of the bottles and although they are different they are very similar as they only differ by a digit or two so I can only assume that this company only a bad batch had roses and a lot of bottles probably happened. I intend to email the companies along with photos of the numbers of both batches and where I bought them and let them know of the problem, but I also wanted other consumers reading the reviews , being aware as this is likely a bug is a product of the company itself and not an imitation sold through Revain as some other reviews suggest. Hope that helps!
