Furniture safety questions

It's very simple. A few things I didn't like: 1. The mattress cover is plastic and keeps the baby warm. My child developed a rash on his face and after inspecting and replacing the mattress foam and cotton cover the rash disappeared. The side that opens next to the bed has exposed bars (as shown in the pictures) which are a safety hazard. Two ends at the top and a curved stem at the very bottom where you bend the flap. The child may accidentally hit it with their head while lifting the child out of the bed. The child's arms and legs hit the bar as they move their arms. I've hit my elbows and hands too many times in my sleep when I've slept next to him. 3. The height adjustment remains locked when you lift the bed to move it. Every time my cleaner spends more time clearing the elevation settings I have for incline changes.
