First, they are essentially durable slippers, like light sloops (slippers). These are not casual, athletic, ankle boots or winter shoes. What are they, they are damn good! These are slippers. They have a Sherpa lining and a textured outsole that offers some support and traction - way more than regular slippers. They have a wool-like synthetic upper and a rubber outsole with enough texture to provide cushioning. They are slightly lower than Chuck Taylor hi-tops and have a flared elastic at the ankle. They are put on without a fastener, and the "laces” with a latch on the button are practically non-adjustable and do not tighten. They are almost true to size but have a longer and narrower toe. I'm a size 8 and it fits well but with extra room in the toe box. How do you work? All around the house, excellent. Very comfortable, probably warmer and definitely better than most slippers. I even wore them while walking in the fortieth courtyard yesterday. It would be good around the house, casual around the house (but not while working, mowing, etc.). You can wear them when you go to the mailbox to get your mail or even get in your car to get milk and bread to the grocery store. That's all. There is really little cushioning and no arch support at all. I need arch support so they are mostly designed for indoor use. They're damn good at that. You look damn good too! I like her style and I admit that those things are important to me too. Within its limits, these are good shoes!
