Review on Stay Cozy With Goodthreads Women'S Brushed Flannel Drop-Shoulder Shirt by Dennis Moonin

Shirt designed for an anorexic

My wife is a big fan of plaids. Her favorite colors are greens and blues. So when she saw this green and navy Buffalo check flannel offered, she got really excited. Sadly, her joy was short-lived.Normally, my wife wears a medium to large top. She is not abundantly endowed in the bust, and doesn't have a big belly. She figured, since this was a slim-fit shirt, the large size was the way to go. Regarding the bodice of the shirt, she wasn't wrong. It fit okay around her torso. What she didn't consider was that the sleeves might be slim, too. VERY SLIM! Even before washing the shirt, they were snug. They practically strangled her arms around the biceps after washing. And she doesn't have big arms. So, if you are a woman of average build, either order a shirt two sizes larger than normal, or skip this one.The construction of this shirt was typical Goodthreads excellence. The seams were flat-felled, evenly stitched. The fabric was not as soft as you'd expect for flannel, but it was yarn-dyed and solidly woven to last. The buttonholes seemed a little snug for the buttons. There were no raw edges exposed, so the hem and seams are not likely to ravel. I just wish it was made to fit someone of average build, rather than an undernourished teenager!Even if it did fit, this shirt is way overpriced at $30! I think $15 would be more appropriate, maybe $20, if it fit more normal women.

Pros
  • The shirt's loose fit provides freedom of movement, making it suitable for physical activities
Cons
  • The shirt may not be suitable for women with smaller frames
