Review on Philips Norelco Replacement QP220 80 by Kathy Jones

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Extremely poor quality

OneBlade replacement blade - breaks very easily at the neck joint (see attachment). However, the original OneBlade that comes with the razor doesn't. So this appears to be an intentional strategy to increase recurring income (shame on you Philips!) - which degrades at a much faster rate than the original OneBlade that came with the razor. Again, this appears to be a deliberate design strategy to increase recurring income (again. Shame on you Philips!). The OneBlade razor as a whole is flimsy at best. I didn't expect such poor quality from Philips. The engine will not start when plugged in. This means that shaving is only possible without a mains connection. (Philips, it's not hard to design a circuit that charges and starts a motor at the same time. Some of your other cheaper razors do this, so why not in such an expensive model?) - Nemesis: soft hair. No, I mean, does NOT cut soft hair at all! If you don't mind scratching tough skin and have enough time and patience to go over the area multiple times to remove soft hairs, DO NOT buy this razor! - The hair length attachment is again of poor quality. The clip on the nozzle that is attached to the head that holds it in place breaks very easily. I would be fine with the above issues if the cost of this razor and its replacement were 1/10th of what it costs now.
