Useless set of stamps

Worst stamps. I don't understand how anyone gave this set a 5. Any paper I've used - thin as printer paper or as thick as regular cardstock - stuck to the matrix like glue EVERY time. I had to tear paper figures from the stamp into small pieces. I even tried wax paper on it but nothing helped. I am returning this useless set.
