Although this is a facial cleanser, I originally bought this cleanser for my body because my skin is dry and I need a cleanser that won't break through my water barrier. Now I use it on my face in the morning too! The ingredients in this cleanser are super awesome ----- there are no unnecessary ingredients in this cleanser. This cleanser lathers surprisingly well. You don't really have to pump out a full pump to get it foaming in your hands. Detergents should be very simple. You need that! My skin loves this cleanser.
